熱帶雨林聯盟認證與公平貿易咖啡組織，簡單來說就是讓我們消費者能夠持續地合理生產、安全又美味的咖啡;因此公平貿易咖啡組織主張在與生產者交易時必須支付生產者適當等值的價格，以維持良好的夥伴關係同時保證生產者有足夠的資金繼續投入生產。</p>
<p>
咖啡的種植和產區在南半球佔很大一部分，然而種植區農民的收入往往是很低的，公平貿易咖啡組織不僅能縮小南北的經濟差距，也能改善咖啡園勞工的生活環境，進而保護自然環境——市場上的咖啡價格影響力非常大，只要價格下滑，由銀行管理的莊園便將咖啡樹連同遮陰樹一起砍掉、改種牧草，而原本在莊園工作的農人也會失業;相反的，價格若是上揚，即便有可能造成環境破壞，產地依然會採行大量生產，甚至無視與消費地業者先前簽訂的契約，以較高的市場價格賣給另外的消費者;</p>
<p>
要改善這個現象，就必須使生產者的人權與環境獲得保護，讓他們能夠安心栽種出好品質的咖啡並獲得應有的價格，而消費者也能放心地享用好咖啡，這正是推行公平貿易的理由。</p>

【熱帶雨林聯盟認證】RFA(Rainforest Alliance)</p>

熱帶雨林聯盟爲1987年設立於紐約的世界性非政府組織 (NGO)，針對以傳統農業法來防止濫開發，一方面保護自然生態，又可維護優良農園的農家生活爲認定的對象，藉由改變土地的使用方法、商業行爲、以及消費者的行爲來保護生態系統和它依存的人類及野生動物，並達到對生物多樣性的保存和提供永續發展。</p>
<p>
另外，對於生產者的照顧也非常完善，確保了生產者的團結權，並規定遵守該國所訂定的最低薪資法，在確保安全又清潔的勞動環境之外，着力於生活基本面的需求，如適當的住居及飲水環境等等。而生產者及其親屬所需的醫療設備，孩童所需的義務教育機構的設置都是必須的。</p>
